Golfing to Give Back - Avery's Light & The Finley Project

On Saturday June 9, 2018 at the Indian River Preserve Golf Club in Mims, Florida, Avery’s Light held their 6th Annual Golf Tournament.

The Golf Tournament was held in memory of Eddy & Crystal Hanson’s daughter, Avery Diane Hanson. Avery, who died in 2013 at 6 days old of SIDS, brought so much light and love into the world.  In Avery's 6 short days she inspired her parent’s to forever bring light, love and support to families experiencing Pregnancy and Infant Loss.

Because of their heart to give back and honor their daughter, the Hanson family and their group of amazing volunteers and Board members selected The Finely Project to honor through the day of golfing! What a gift!

The day was incredible -149 golfers, smiling ladies at registration, accommodating course staff, wonderful raffle items, a silent auction, fun games at various holes, a lot of laughter, team work and camaraderie, The 149 golfers and 20+ volunteers had a fun day giving back!

The Finley Project had a group of representatives in attendance including: Board member, Kwesi Johnson, along with Executive Director, Noelle Moore and Support Manager, Jessica Neiderkohr. After a day of golfing, lunch, a program and fun, Avery’s Light announced, that through the Raffle, Silent Auction, Live Auction, Sponsorships, Donations and Golf Registrants, $17,150.00 was raised for The Finley Project! IT WAS A tremendously successful day and could not have been done without the support and giving of so many!
